Kyle Richards' Breast Reduction Revelation on Watch What Happens Live
Having spent 12 years on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards has mastered the art of handling unexpected situations like a veteran pro. And precisely such a situation occurred on the recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, when the host, Andy Cohen, nonchalantly asked her, "How's the breast reduction working out?"
It turns out that although the reality star has been candid about her previous liposuction and rhinoplasty procedures, she wasn't fully prepared to disclose this most recent surgery publicly. "Oh, thanks a lot for making it known to everyone, Andy, thanks!" Richards exclaimed, while Cohen covered his mouth in embarrassment. "I thought you had discussed it! You told me about it numerous times! I'm truly sorry!" he stated. Richards might have been irritated, but she handled the awkward moment with finesse. "You could confide in me that you committed a murder and I'd keep it a secret, but I can't hold back on my own secrets," she said, before affirming that indeed, she had undergone a breast reduction three weeks ago. "I had double-Ds, without any implants, and I still don't have one. But I went ahead and said, 'I desire smaller breasts and I no longer wish to wear a bra for the rest of my life.'"
Typically, doctors suggest taking one to two weeks of rest following breast reduction surgery and wearing a surgical bra for the initial four weeks; after six to eight weeks, patients are expected to feel largely recovered, and inflammation and swelling would have decreased by approximately 50%. Richards, evidently keen to go without a bra a bit prematurely, gestured towards the ample cleavage shown in her low-cut dress and clarified, "I have smaller breasts now, although it might not be obvious because they're still swollen."
Richards will likely be more cautious the next time she decides to text Cohen private news. However, it seems that it was only a matter of time before this information would have come to light anyway. "I have never concealed anything I've done, and I never will... I'll disclose everything to you," she told the viewers, before forgiving the blunder and moving forward.
