Bethenny Frankel's Openness about Cosmetic Procedures
Whether you are viewing classic episodes of the Real Housewives of New York City, tuning in to her podcasts, or browsing her social media content, Bethenny Frankel consistently offers captivating opinions. The reality star-turned-entrepreneur has been highly active on Instagram lately, where she has been sharing forthright and honest critiques on everything ranging from drugstore primers to upscale face masks with her approximately 3 million followers. She has also been very vocal about her aversion to filters and unrealistic beauty standards (particularly those promoted by the Kardashians). Her most recent post? A straightforward video outlining the cosmetic procedures she has undergone – and what she intends to pursue in the future.
In the video, named The Plastic Surgery Tour Part One, 52-year-old Frankel confesses that she perceives a duty to be upfront, considering her recent emphasis on beauty. “Let’s engage in the plastic surgery discourse. I owe it to you to be completely candid with you because I entered this beauty domain… I sense a responsibility based on the fact that we’ve been discussing skin and beauty, and it would be deceptive for me to do something and then pretend it was natural. I embarked on a plastic surgery expedition,” she stated.
She proceeded to elaborate on all the treatments she has received: masseter Botox (which she claimed “significantly” transformed her face); filler, once; Botox, once or twice annually; and a breast lift, 15 years ago. “That’s not all I’m going to do, though. I like my appearance. I’m fine. I don’t even think I truly need it. The sole reason I would consider this is, I believe I will eventually do it. And I don’t want to do it later when everything is sagging,” she elaborated.
While Frankel did not precisely specify the type of surgery or procedure she is interested in or planning for, it is reasonable to assume that she will share the particulars with her followers and fans in real-time. “Many of you will criticize me…. You can say, ‘You’re insane, you’re shallow, you’re like everyone else, you’re selling out.’ Whatever you wish to say, I understand. Judge me, but you won’t judge me for deceiving you. Because we’ve talked about so many matters related to beauty and age, and that would be a complete, fraudulent hoax,” she said.
