Celebrities Address Ozempic Weight-Loss Speculations
As the chatter about Ozempic intensifies on social media (and in real-life social circles), it appears that celebrities who have recently shed weight are under pressure to clarify how they achieved it. Many have suspected that Kim and Khloé Kardashian's slimmer figures are the outcome of using the type 2 diabetes injection. However, after an Instagram user commented that it was "disturbing" that the reality star uses the medicine to get "thin," Khloé responded, "Let's not undermine my years of exercising. I wake up 5 days a week at 6 am to train. Please stop making such assumptions. I guess the new year still brings out the mean-spirited."
Alongside an Instagram post flaunting her fit physique, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards responded to numerous comments accusing her of using Ozempic by stating, "I am NOT taking Ozempic. Never have" and "I have never attempted Ozempic and this is not the result of plastic surgery. I did have a breast reduction in May. I'm honest about what I do."
Still, the responses have not deterred social media users from theorizing that stars can technically deny using Ozempic specifically because they might be on other forms of semaglutide, such as Mounjaro or Wegovy. One star who admits to using the drug? Chelsea Handler - although she claims she didn't even realize she was on it. The comedian informed Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast that her doctor gave it to her and said, "If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is good." Handler injected herself, and then, a few days later, went to lunch with a friend who asked her why she wasn't eating and if she was on Ozempic. Handler replied that she was on semaglutide, not knowing the two were the same. Once she became aware that she was taking a diabetic drug, she ceased using it, stating it was "irresponsible" to do so.
Sunny Hostin Reveals Her Plastic Surgery Experience
In an exclusive with People, The View's Sunny Hostin discussed the breast reduction, breast lift, and neck and chin liposuction she underwent last summer, deeming the choice a "health decision and a self-care decision." After being unable to fit into her gown for the White House Correspondents' Dinner last April, Hostin scheduled the procedures with New York City board-certified plastic surgeons Dr. Ryan Neinstein and Dr. Anna Steve. Despite the recovery not being "glamorous," she tells People, she now feels like "a superior version of herself."
"I thought I would feel embarrassed, like, 'Oh my goodness, I'm undergoing plastic surgery like all these wild celebrities.' But I feel no shame at all," Hostin says. "And I hope sharing my story will assist more people. If they're feeling as self-conscious about their bodies as I was - they can take the necessary steps to feel better."
Cardi B Discloses That Kim Kardashian Provided Her with a List of Plastic Surgeons
On an episode of The Jason Lee Podcast, rapper Cardi B stated that after getting a botched non-surgical nose job in 2019, she had no option but to undergo surgery to rectify it. "OK, so how do you determine who you're going to go to and trust to handle your face and body? 'Cause I remember the time we were at Kris' house and Kim gave you a list of people you could contact for assistance. You didn't call any of those people?" asked Lee. Cardi responded, "No, I called a few of the people she gave me" but added that she ultimately went to another doctor for rhinoplasty surgery in 2024.
Why does Kardashian, who claims she's only received "a little Botox," have a list of plastic surgeon contacts at hand? And who's on that list? These are two mysteries she might never disclose.
Julie Bowen Gets a Tummy Tuck After Her Twins "Tore It Open"
Modern Family star Julie Bowen recently appeared on The View and mentioned that she waited over a decade to have a tummy tuck after the birth of her twins "tore it open." Bowen, who was pregnant when she filmed the pilot for the long-running sitcom, underwent the surgery just days after the show's finale episode in 2024. "So 11 years later, we wrapped on Friday and Monday, I got my [surgery]. They went in," she recalled, saying she was "stitched up like a sneaker" afterwards.
Meghan King Showcases Results from Her Plastic Surgery Procedures
Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King has been refreshingly candid about her plastic surgery journey on social media. A few days ago, she posted an Instagram slideshow showcasing how her new breast augmentation appears in various swimsuits, before and after photos of her nose job, and a video of herself receiving Sculptra injections.
"I've always been vocal about any enhancements I've undergone (this time I desired the fullness in my breasts to return and a little cleavage, and since I was under anesthesia I chose to tweak the tip of my nose for a minor adjustment.) My chest is so broad that it always made me feel masculine on the outside but I felt very feminine on the inside and so decided to undertake this thing called 'cosmetic enhancement'? […] I'd love to look at my body and say, 'Wow, you're beautiful just the way you are,' and now, with the aid of a breast implant exchange, a tiny rhino, and some Sculptra to maintain my face's plumpness, I can," she wrote in part. King also shared that she visited Dr. Michael Niccole, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Corona del Mar, California.
