Despite the growing popularity of breast implant removal and breast reduction, breast augmentation continues to be among the most sought-after cosmetic surgery procedures; as of 2024, it was the second-most requested procedure (right after liposuction). With the stigma around plastic surgery gradually fading, an increasing number of celebrities are opening up about their breast implants. Here, we've gathered those celebs who have openly shared details regarding their breast augmentations.
Anna Faris
The actress underwent a breast augmentation when her career was on the rise. In an interview with Women’s Health, she disclosed that she had reached 30, was going through a divorce from her then-husband Ben Indra, and had just completed the movie House Bunny. "All these new developments were happening to me, so I decided to get my breasts done," she stated, adding that she previously had "negative-A cups." "It was truly amazing. I never thought I'd do such a thing. I always believed plastic surgery was giving in to societal pressure, you know? But it boiled down to a very straightforward matter: I wanted to look good in a bikini."
Kylie Jenner
After years of denial – and attributing her enhanced appearance to push-up bras, weight gain, and PMS – Jenner finally confessed to having a breast augmentation at the age of 19. In a July 2024 episode of The Kardashians, she said: "I got my breasts done before Stormi." It's a choice she now regrets, and in the episode, she continued: "I had beautiful breasts, like, natural ones. Just lovely, the perfect size, everything was perfect. And I just wish, obviously, I had never gone through with it. I would advise anyone considering it to wait until after having children."
Kourtney Kardashian
While Khloé Kardashian has seriously contemplated breast augmentation, Kourtney Kardashian is the sole Kardashian to have confirmed undergoing the procedure. "I have had breast implants, but it's so funny because it's not a secret, and I couldn't care less," she said in a 2011 interview. "It's hilarious because the 'before' picture that [In Touch magazine] showed was after my boob job, so I'm like, they should have written 'before Mason' and 'after Mason.' Like, my boobs have, like, tripled since breastfeeding."
Kaley Cuoco
The Big Bang Theory star has been forthright about the breast augmentation she got at 18 years old, even describing it as the "best decision I ever made" in a 2014 interview. She further shared that her breast size was something she had always been dissatisfied with about her body and felt confident in her decision to change it.
Denise Richards and Sami Sheen
Model and actress Denise Richards got her breast augmentation at 19 and now, over 40 years later, is planning to have them removed. "I had no idea how harmful [they were] when I was 19. And it's not an easy surgery. It's painful!" she said in an interview. Meanwhile, Richards's 19-year-old daughter, Sami Sheen, confirmed in a series of Instagram Stories that despite her mom's reservations, she underwent breast augmentation in mid-November. The surgery had been anticipated for a long time: "I was 10 years old and thought, 'I can't wait to have big boobs like my mom.' All my friends were getting them, and I was like, 'OK, when's my turn?'" she recalled in the same interview.
Jessie James Decker
After having a breast reduction and lift, the singer went under the knife once again, noting in an Instagram post that she was unhappy with how her breasts looked postpartum. "After deciding we were done having babies, I was finally determined to go all out," she wrote in the accompanying caption. "They were so big and perky before having children, and I wanted them back... plus some."
Dolores Catania
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has been upfront about her plastic surgery procedures, which include a facelift and tummy tuck. And in 2024, she got a breast augmentation for the third time. "I wasn't satisfied with how they felt. I thought they looked a bit uneven, and I just didn't really like the implants I used," she told RealSelf in an interview. (She's one of many Real Housewives to undergo breast augmentation, along with RHONJ castmate Teresa Guidice, Emily Simpson, Wendy Osefo, Ashley Darby, Meghan King, and Alexia Napola, among others.)
She preferred Guidice's results, going to the extent of getting the same implants and using the same plastic surgeon – and it seems to have been worth it. "There aren't many better feelings than when you come out of surgery and realize that you chose the best doctor, everything went smoothly, you love the way you look, and that everything you went through was worthwhile," Catania said. "That's exactly how I felt, and it's how I still feel."
Iggy Azalea
Tired of wearing padding in her stage outfits and lingerie with wiring, the Australian rapper had a breast augmentation in late 2014, after years of contemplation. "Four months ago, I got larger boobs! I'd been thinking about it my entire life," she shared in a 2015 interview. She recently brought up the surgery again on an episode of Emily Ratjakowski's podcast, High Low with EmRata, and confirmed that she has no regrets. "I changed what I wanted to change. I feel really great about them," she said.
Cardi B
In a candid conversation with Mariah Carey, the rapper spoke about getting a breast augmentation as a teenager, after years of being self-conscious about her breasts. "Even when I was 18 and became a dancer, I had enough money to get boobs, so all the insecurities I felt about my breasts vanished," she said, adding that she felt vindicated. She then followed this surgery with illegal butt injections (which she had removed in 2024).
Kelly Rowland
Although initially reluctant to talk about it, Rowland opened up about the breast augmentation she had in 2008; she increased just one cup size, from an A to a B. "I'm so happy. I feel fulfilled," she said in an interview, noting that she was tired of not fitting into her tops. "It was a decision I made for myself. I like it, and that's all that matters."
