Is it possible to combine a fat transfer with an implant? Or is the outcome affected by a person's body weight?
Regardless of placement, you should not see the outline of your buttock implants. In rare cases where the implant is visible, a fat transfer around the implant can help camouflage it.
Breast implants and buttock implants can be placed in different tissue planes. To achieve the best results and avoid implant visibility, buttock implants should ideally be placed within the gluteus maximus muscle. The muscle is split in half, and the implant is positioned between the two layers. When done properly, the implant should not be visible. Placing the implants completely under the muscle may increase the risk of nerve damage, while placing them on top of the muscle (subcutaneous or subfascial) has a higher risk of visibility. By placing buttock implants within the muscle, there is a very low chance of visibility, even when bending over.
