  • How Much Does Ksl Hair Transplant Cost In Edinburgh

Hello. I had my lip fillers done yesterday evening, so it has been a full 24 hours since the procedure. I haven't experienced any bruising, but there is swelling. I have been using ice packs and taking antihistamines. Can I also take ibuprofen? Thank you.

Thank you for your question, shellyjane! I would advise against taking Ibuprofen for at least 48-72 hours after the injection. It would be best to stick to Tylenol for now. Good luck!

Hi, thank you for your question. There is no strict rule about using NSAIDs after filler treatment, but most offices err on the safe side and recommend avoiding them for 24-48 hours after injection. It's also advisable to avoid NSAIDs for 2 weeks prior to any injection, if possible. Swelling after lip fillers is common and will subside on its own. I hope this information helps!

Swelling after lip injections is normal and may take days to resolve. Discomfort and additional swelling can be minimized by avoiding products containing aspirin or ibuprofen for 48 hours and applying cold compresses to the treated area.

While there are no strict guidelines for avoiding NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) after lip filler injections, it is generally suggested to avoid them for several days afterward. Late onset bruising is possible even 24-48 hours after the procedure.
