Question
  • How Much Does Ksl Hair Transplant Cost In Edinburgh

I'm nearly 4 weeks post-op, and a few days ago, I noticed that my belly button has developed a hole on the inside, which seems to be widening. I have informed my surgeon, but I'm unsure about what to expect in terms of healing. Will the hole close up on its own over time, or should I take any specific steps?

Based on the description and photo provided, it appears that the issue with your belly button is more complex than just a hole. A thorough in-person examination is essential and should be scheduled as soon as possible. Most tummy tucks involve connecting the belly button to the liver, and the new opening in the abdominal wall is pulled down and sutured to the existing belly button. It is difficult to provide an accurate diagnosis based on a two-dimensional internet photo, but it is possible that your belly button has become detached from its abdominal opening, which can lead to various undesirable consequences. I highly recommend seeking another consultation with your plastic surgeon immediately to begin appropriate treatment.

You appear to have a dehiscence of the belly button repair. It is important to see your operating surgeon as soon as possible to address this issue. If left untreated, it could lead to infection and poor healing. It is difficult to provide a definitive assessment based solely on the picture, but that is my impression. Good luck!

It is advisable to be seen by the operative surgeon for assessment and to develop a care plan if there is a dehisced closure of the belly button after a tummy tuck. The wound should be carefully evaluated for appropriate treatment.
