Hello, it is possible for the area around the wound to appear normal. I wouldn't be too concerned until you have your post-op review with your surgeon. Keep the area clean and contact your nurse or surgeon if you experience pain, temperature, or notice any unpleasant odors. Best of luck.

Thicker tissues next to the thinner skin of the nostril rim can sometimes cause an occasional occurrence of a lump. It usually resolves with swelling reduction, and it is important not to pick at it and keep it moist with Polysporin. Consult the surgeon for further advice.
