Subfascial breast augmentation involves placing the breast implant beneath a thin layer of fascia on top of the pectoralis muscle and beneath the breast gland. This technique is believed to be less involved and less painful compared to sub-muscular breast augmentation, while also offering some advantages in terms of reducing the risk of capsular contracture compared to sub-glandular breast augmentation.
