I had bbl laser 10 months ago and she said she was going to do it aggressively since I was only doing one treatment for pigment around my eyes. She did my whole face and within a few weeks I had dark puffy eye bags and dark sunken skin in my tear trough area plus larger pores and fine lines all over that I never had before. I’m devastated, my skin was so beautiful! No one has been able to help me:( please tell me what I can do?
BBL light treatments aim to enhance the skin's appearance; however, in some cases, the skin's condition may worsen after the treatment. Typically, immediately after the procedure (usually within a few hours), there may be increased dark spots or redness. This is a normal reaction to BBL treatment and usually resolves over several hours to days as the redness subsides and the dark spots flake off, revealing a more even color and reduced visible blood vessels. Improvement in pore appearance takes time, ranging from weeks to months, as it involves the growth of new dermal collagen, which requires repetition and patience. Your situation, with a worsened appearance over weeks, is highly unusual. I would like to know if you experienced swelling, blistering, or scabbing immediately after the treatment. If not, I recommend consulting your physician again for a skin evaluation to ensure there are no underlying factors contributing to the sudden worsening of your appearance.
I apologize that you didn't achieve the desired results after IPL treatment. IPL is not known to increase pore size or induce the development of fine lines. I recommend seeking evaluation from at least two experienced physicians with expertise in lasers and related devices to determine the appropriate next steps.
