Medicaid is intended to cover medically necessary services. Fibrocystic breasts do not constitute a "need" for breast implants. Breast implants are medically necessary only for breast reconstruction after breast cancer. Otherwise, breast implants are considered 100% cosmetic, elective, and not medically necessary. Therefore, Medicaid does not and should not cover such a procedure.

Breast implants are typically not covered by insurance companies unless you are a breast cancer survivor undergoing reconstructive surgery. Best wishes.

Insurance generally does not cover breast augmentation, and if you have significant fibrocystic disease requiring multiple biopsies, implants may not be a viable option.

Cosmetic surgery is typically not covered by health insurance.
