I had botox injections yesterday morning and I'm wondering if it's okay to go running tomorrow afternoon. Will sweating on my forehead have any negative effects?
Botulinum neurotoxin type A, such as Botox or Dysport, is quickly taken up by the muscles and nerve endings within 20 to 90 minutes of injection. This limits its spread from the injection site. As a general guideline, I advise my patients that they are free to resume their normal activities or movements 1 1/2 hours after their injections.
Thank you for your question! There is no problem with exertion or sweating the day after Botox, so two days later should not be a concern for you. Best of luck!
It is generally recommended to avoid exercising for the first 24 hours after receiving Botox. After 48 hours, it is usually safe to resume activities such as running.
Regular exercise, including running, can be resumed 24 hours after receiving Botox without any problems.
After receiving injections, we generally recommend avoiding strenuous activities, including exercise, for 24 hours. Unless advised otherwise by your physician, you should be able to resume running after 48 hours without affecting the results. Sweating should not have an impact on the outcome.
