During the first 1-2 months following my buttock augmentation surgery, my buttocks were the least painful compared to other operated areas. I didn't experience much discomfort at all. However, starting around the third month, I noticed soreness. It became impossible to run on the treadmill due to the pain caused by the bouncing of my buttocks. I now experience soreness and pain in two specific spots, even when I'm not running. My surgeon injected 900cc of fat per cheek through three incisions above, within, and below the muscle. I'm wondering what might be causing this and if there's anything I can do to alleviate it.
Intra-muscular fat injections for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) are not the standard of care, so your concerns are valid. It is widely accepted to inject fat as superficially as possible (subdermally or subcutaneously) rather than intra-muscularly. Perhaps there is some confusion regarding the location of the injections. It would be best to clarify this issue.
Hello and thank you for your question and photos. I recommend scheduling an examination with both your plastic surgeon and primary doctor. While it is possible that your pain could be related to your Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), it is also possible that it could have a different cause. Often, pain starting 3 months post-surgery can be attributed to other factors such as increased activity. Best of luck...
