I have scarring on the donor site of my chest.
After undergoing FUE on the chest, it is possible to have small white dots, particularly in patients with darker skin tones. The visibility of these dots can vary depending on the size and depth of the punches used by the surgeon. Larger and deeper extractions are more likely to result in scarring.
Each patient heals differently, and if you shave your chest, you may notice and feel numerous small white dot scars.
Body hair may not grow beyond six months after a hair grafting procedure, unlike scalp hair which has a longer growth cycle. Consider scalp hair for grafting rather than body hair.
Chest hair is unlikely to be used as donor hair for hair transplantation. Hair from the back of the head, where it continually grows, is typically preferred for transplanting to areas experiencing hair loss. Hair from other parts of the body may not yield the same results.
