If you are one week post-septoplasty, any broken suture should not cause significant issues at this point. However, if you have splints sutured in your nose, the broken suture may affect their stability. Many sutures used in septoplasty are absorbable, and as they break down and the knots dissolve, you may sometimes see the long end of a suture. If it is protruding from your nose, you can carefully trim the excess to alleviate any discomfort. Nonetheless, I recommend contacting your surgeon to inform them, as different surgeons may have different approaches and suture materials.
