I’ve had two c-sections and I’m going to have a tummy tuck to fix the issues caused by pregnancy. My Obgyn’s NP for my second pregnancy suggested arnica post-op for my second c-section and by day 6 post-op I was almost back to normal and off all regular pain medication. The recovery seemed much easier and faster than my first c-section. As a PS you ever suggest arnica to your TT patients and do you get positive feedback?
Thank you for your question! It is safe to use arnica both before and after surgery. It can help with bruising and postoperative pain. However, I recommend discussing specific postoperative medication or remedy questions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Hello! Thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) Arnica is often used to decrease bruising. Some patients find it useful, while others do not. If you find it beneficial, it is recommended to discuss its use in the postoperative period with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Arnica is sometimes used to help with postoperative bruising. It is crucial to inform your surgeon about all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon to determine the best course of action.
Arnica may help with bruising but does not significantly impact overall recovery. It may shorten the duration of visible bruising.
