Question
  • How Much Does Ksl Hair Transplant Cost In Edinburgh

I am 7 weeks post full tummy tuck and liposuction, and my menstrual cycle is over one week late. I had a negative pregnancy test on the day of the surgery, and I also had a menstrual cycle three days after the surgery (although it was light and arrived a week early). I have taken another pregnancy test today, which was negative, and my husband had a vasectomy six months ago. I assume I am not pregnant. However, I have been experiencing symptoms similar to PMS for about 10 days now. How common is this issue? Thank you.

Thank you for your question. Yes, any surgical procedure can cause alterations to the menstrual cycle. Your cycles should return to normal within a few months. If they do not, it may be necessary to consult with your OB/GYN for further evaluation. Best wishes.

Missing one or even two periods after a major surgery is not uncommon. The stress of surgery and anesthesia can disrupt your regular menstrual cycle. However, if this persists or you notice any other changes in your gynecologic health, it's important to inform your gynecologist.

Changes in menstrual cycles after surgery and anesthesia are common. It may take a month or two to return to normal. Consult with your plastic surgeon or OB/GYN if you have concerns.

Changes in menstrual cycles can occur after major surgeries like a tummy tuck. It's normal, and the cycle will return.
