Three days ago, I had 5 units of Botox injected in my chin to address a crease I disliked. Now, my chin appears contracted and resembles a nose. When I say words with an "O" sound or sip from a straw, the middle part of my chin contracts noticeably. At rest, there is a small ball-like appearance at the end of my chin, which is also slightly noticeable during conversation. I didn't have any concerns before the Botox treatment, aside from the crease. Is this normal three days after the treatment?
Please wait for another week, and if your chin still exhibits the same movement, it would be advisable to return to your doctor as you may require additional Botox treatment.
Thank you for your question, Kbock. It can take up to 2 weeks to see the final result of Botox. You may need a touch-up to further relax the muscle in the middle. It is generally recommended to wait at least 2 weeks after the initial injection before considering additional injections. Best of luck!
Hello and thank you for your question. It typically takes 7 to 10 days for Botox to reach full effectiveness. However, adding a few more units in the active muscle area can help address any unsightly buckling. Best of luck!
Botox results can take up to 2 weeks for final effects, but touch-up treatments may be needed. The results typically last 3-4 months.
