I underwent liposuction on my upper and lower abdomen 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, my lower abdomen doesn't look any better than before, and it feels rock solid to the touch. I was hoping to get rid of the stubborn pouch of fat I've always had, which became worse after my c-section. If anything, it seems to have gotten worse. I've read that lymphatic massage can help, but my surgeon hasn't mentioned this to me. I've been wearing the compression garment for 24 hours one day and 20 hours the next, as instructed. It's disheartening to think that I spent £3750 only to see no improvement. Can anyone offer advice or suggestions?

It is normal to experience some lumps and bumps after liposuction at the two-week mark. These firm areas tend to soften with time. Since you are still in a swollen state, it is advisable to give your body sufficient time to heal. I usually advise my patients to wait around 4-6 months to see their final shape, allowing all the swelling to subside.
