I understand your concern. In the early days of Botox injections, it was commonly recommended to avoid lying down to prevent possible Botox migration. However, with advancements in our understanding and experience, we now know that gravity has an effect regardless of body position. If Botox were to migrate, it would do so regardless of whether you are standing, sitting, or lying down. Therefore, I stopped making that recommendation to my patients years ago, and there have been no adverse effects. The key to successful Botox injections is to choose a skilled injector who specializes in facial aesthetics, such as a board-certified dermatologist, to ensure optimal results while minimizing side effects.

As a safety precaution, we advise patients not to lie down for four hours after treatment to prevent the spread of Botox. However, lying down for a brief moment should not impact the effectiveness of the Botox.

There is no evidence that Botox migrates out of the muscle, so there is no need to worry about lying flat after treatment. It is safe to do so.

It is generally recommended to avoid lying face down until approximately 8 hours after Botox treatment. Laying down for only one second should not have a significant impact on your Botox results.
