I briefly exposed my face to the heat of the oven about 3 hours after receiving Botox. Will this affect the effectiveness of the Botox? Additionally, with the current heat wave, will perspiring 1-2 hours after Botox impact the results?
Thank you for your question. Sweating due to heat after Botox injections should not impact your results. However, I typically advise patients to avoid exercise for a day after the procedure to prevent dispersal of the Botox caused by increased blood flow. This allows the Botox enough time to bind to the receptors and produce the desired effect.
Thank you for your question. I do not anticipate that your Botox results will be affected. However, it is advisable to avoid heat exposure to minimize the risk of bruising and swelling.
Following Botox treatment, it is recommended to avoid sleeping in a horizontal position until nighttime, avoid exercise for 24 hours, and avoid facials for a week.
Changing the results of Botox treatment by rubbing your forehead is unlikely. Immediate post-injection swelling may be increased, but the long-term results should not be significantly affected.
