Nine weeks ago, I had 360-degree liposuction with a Brazilian butt lift (BBL). Unfortunately, my buttocks are now flat, and my stomach appears irregular. I also have remaining fat on my back and upper stomach. My surgeon claims it is due to muscle, but I have doubts about that. What could have happened? I am truly upset about the results.
After liposuction, surface irregularities can occur, particularly with revision liposuction or more aggressive procedures. Based on your photos, your abdomen appears relatively smooth. If there are any small irregularities that are not evident in the photos, you can try massaging the area to help smooth them down. Massage the area aggressively and on a daily basis. Regarding the fat remaining on your back and upper stomach, it is still too soon to make a definitive judgment as you are still in the early stages of healing. Swelling can persist for up to 6 months to a year after surgery. There are safety limits on the amount of fat that can be removed in a single session, and in some cases, a second round of liposuction may be necessary after 6 months. Regarding the loss of fat volume in your buttocks, it is normal for 30-50% of the injected fat to be absorbed over the first 3-6 months after surgery. Some patients retain the fat better than others, and the exact reasons for this variation are not fully understood.
Dear, while there is always a chance of contour irregularities with liposuction, a surgeon who takes their time and uses appropriate-sized cannulas should be able to provide you with an excellent result. Wearing compression garments and using multiple-sized cannulas to feather out the result can also help. If you have concerns about the results of your surgery, I recommend discussing them with your plastic surgeon or seeking a second opinion. I underwent inner thigh liposuction two weeks ago, and I'm experiencing an intense pulling sensation when I stand up after sitting for a while. Is this normal?
I am 17 days post-op, and before the surgery, I had an "O" shape belly button. However, now it looks different and less pleasing. While my surgeon is reputable,
I see some doctors use them, and some close the incisions.
Does this swelling have anything to do with my recent surgery? Is it common to experience this after surgery? If so, when can I expect the swelling to subside?
