The healing process typically continues for 2-3 months during the early period. This may involve some swelling, bruising, malposition, color differences, and abnormal sensation. Scars will continue to evolve during this time. Scar maturation products such as BioCorneum or Embrace can be helpful. It's important to discuss any healing concerns with your surgeon to determine if the use of scar management products or laser treatments would be beneficial for your specific situation.

At 3 months, your incisions appear acceptable. It is recommended to continue following up with your surgeon over the next year. Ideally, the incisions should become barely visible once fully matured. In some cases, if there is a visible line, a revision procedure may provide further improvement. For now, they look fine, but ongoing follow-up with your surgeon is important as they are likely to continue improving.

Scar maturation takes approximately 9-12 months, and it appears that your scar is healing well. It is important to follow the instructions provided by your plastic surgeon.
